So yeah, I did it. I saw them live. After about 4 hours out in the cold and rain (not really, it rained just for a few minutes, and not even enough to be annoying) me and my friend Barbara managed to get inside the place. Which, by the way, was wonderful. It's a theatre of the 19th century, so perfect for them. I'm pretty sure Ryan yay-ed when he saw it. Okay, maybe not out on the outside, but he damn sure squealed on the inside.
Anyway, we got in and got a damn fine place on the lower balcony, which means we were like fifteen meters (40 feet?) from them. Which is very close. Which was wonderful, since we were on Jon's side of the stage. Not that I would have complained if I were on Ryan's side, but still. Jon Awesome Walker. Mhh, it happened with Mikey too at the My Chemical Romance concert. Somehow I always end up on the bassist's side. LOL It must be because I love them. *nods*
I digress. We got inside and then at 7.30 pm Black Gold started to play. Now, I wanna spend a few minutes on this band. I admit I never listened to their music before the show, I didn't even know who they were. Well, they're damn good. Like, a lot. So my advice is click here right now and check out their MySpace. Damn damn good. I wish I bought the EP at the merch table.
They played a few songs, and during Plans and Reveries, awesome song btw, Brendon came out on stage and the place kinda exploded. LOL I think he had troubles with the microphone, but he managed to sing a few lines, then Zack brought him back inside.
Zack. This awesome man. He's scary as fuck when he does his job, but he can be such an adorable dork. He was checking the stage while the techs were setting the instruments, and he joked and talked to the fans. I officially love him. He does an awesome job for the guys, he cares about them and he finds the time to be nice and huggable. He's made of awesome.
Then, finally, they came out on stage. Really, all I can say is that they have been wonderfully awesome. They played We're So Starving, 9 In The Afternoon, Camisado, That Green Gentleman, There's A Reason..., Lying Is The Most Fun..., The Weight (cover of The Band), She's A Handsome Woman, Build God Then We'll Talk, I Write Sins Not Tragedies, Time To Dance (wonderful acoustic version), Mad As Rabbits.
And somewhere in between also The Only Difference... and I Constantly Thank God For Esteban, I just don't remember when exactly. They skipped the Intermission (T___T), London Beckoned... and Nails For Breakfast....
Right before Lying I had the horrible horrible horrible idea of switching the camera off and guess what? There was THIS (not the exact words since I didn't get it recorded T_T):

Ryden on stage and I didn't get it recorded. T_______T I'm so ashamed of myself. T____T So, if someone finds a video of this on YouTube with a good audio, PLEASE, link it to me. I mean, I SAW it happened and I didn't record it. Shame on me. T_T
Then, right before the last song, after Time To Dance, Jon introduced Brendon, Ryan and Spencer. And really, the smile he and Spencer shared said many many things. Forgetting the slash for a moment, they have to be so close. And after that, they didn't introduce Jon. o_o Either I didn't hear it or they didn't do it. I hope it's the first, 'cause he's Jon, you can't forget to introduce Jon Walker!
The show ended quite early, at 9.45 pm, and the waiting began. Black Gold came out to the merch table and then outside the place to hang out with the fans and I took pictures with three of them and I got Siggy's autograph on the plane ticket. LOL They're so nice and friendly and so damn talented.
At 11 pm Zack told the fans that they had to leave 'cause they were supposed to be in Tilburg the following day. At midnight there were still a few fans and finally Zack gave in and put some barricades so that the guys could come out and sign stuff. No photos with them, just signing and photos of them. I got both.
I was all calm and collected and then I saw Spencer and I forgot how to put sentences together. Really, his eyes are unbelievably wonderful, so intense and blue and so so wonderful. He looked quite tired but he's been so nice to everyone.
Then it was Ryan's turn. And I died a little from the cuteness. That's right, it's not explainable how cute he is. And he's damn beautiful. He's perfect. And his eyes are so deep and so warm and his smile actually cures the common cold, 'cause it totally worked on me.
As Ryan was walking away Barbara kept looking at him and almost didn't notice Brendon was just inches from her. LOL See, she is totally in love with him. Like, a whole whole lot. And I turned in Brendon's direction, I saw him and she was looking at Ryan and I'm pretty sure I kind of broke one of her ribs with the way I...ehm, gently elbowed her.
So yeah, Brendon appeared right after Ryan, and Zack didn't leave him a single moment. Brendon was...Brendon. LOL He couldn't stay still a single moment, and he's seriously a bunch of energy and now I understand why so many people love him. I have to tell the truth, I love Brendon, who wouldn't? But out of the four of them, he's always been number 4 for me, but I guess he gained points.
And then, he came out. Jon. The most awesome man on the planet. The man who can smile at you and turn you into a speechless bunch of exploding neurons. He's wonderfully friendly, his smile can bright up the entire street at midnight and when he looks at you in the eye you can't help but feel happy. Really, when they sign something, then they give it back to the fan, they look at him/her in the eye, they smile and they thank the fans. They have a wonderful relationship with the fans, they take the right time for each of them. But when Jon looked at me in the eye, after giving me my ticket back, he stood there fo ten seconds full. I kept looking at him in the eye and I really don't know why he stopped, he probably thought I was going to take a picture, since I had my camera in my hand. But seriously, after ten seconds of locked gazes, while he had this wonderful smile on his face...I didn't even remember what a camera was, let alone how to use it.
And he looked happy. Jon Walker looks like a happy man who loves his life, and that makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside, it's not even explainable.
So yeah, I've got the ticked signed by all four of them, even if Brendon's autograph is smudged 'cause when he gave it back to me I put my finger on it. Well, it's just a little part of it, and you can see the original line, so it's perfectly fine. Barbara got her poster signed by everyone except Spencer. We don't really know what happened, but apparently he signed someone else's poster or something. o_o
Oh, and I fell in love with Jon all over again. And just 'cause he thought I was taking a picture and looked at me in the eye for ten seconds and yeah, I liked what I saw. *loves* Cassie is a lucky lucky girl, I hope she keeps making him so happy.
The last thing I want to say about the evening is that Jon was wearing his flipflops. LOL It was midnight, there was like 6°C (42 F) and he was wearing his freaking flipflops. How, could someone not love this man? HOW? LOL
Okay, now on with the picspam. LOL
Okay, I'm done, and I did this from college, while I was supposed to go to class. *whistles* But whatever.
Just one thing more. If you post the pictures somewhere else, I'll be happy 'cause I helped to spread the love. But I just ask you to credit me or to mention that you found them here, please. I'd really appreaciate it and I'd love you more for it.
Now I'm off to Geography class. LOL
