A couple of minutes and three attempts later, William was looking at the little screen, beaming. Gabe watched him while the boy watched the picture, then moved his gaze to the people around them. Without thinking about it, he placed a kiss on William’s temple and pulled him closer, feeling at home for the first time in a long while.

Chapter 1
One month later
“Pete, would you move your ass?” Patrick yelled from the bottom of the stairs, sighing. “We have to leave before dawn.”
“Comin’!” Pete stumbled in the upstairs hallway, carrying his and Patrick’s suitcases. “Do we really need all this stuff? It’s not like we’ll get out of bed, anyway.” He almost tripped on the carpet and had to stop for a second. “I mean, this vacation is about having loads and loads of sex.” Pete reached the top of the stairs and froze on the spot seeing half the house in the hall.
“We really didn’t need to know that.” William tried to repress his wide grin, and Tom snickered next to him.
Patrick covered his face with his hands. “Pete, move. Your. Ass.” His voice was muffled by his fingers and he sounded halfway between a fit of hysterical laughter and a psychological breakdown.
As Pete started to walk downstairs Maja joined the group as well, but from her face Pete could tell she didn’t have good news.
“Guys.” The witch looked between Pete and Patrick. “I think we have a problem.”
“No.” Patrick shook his head, determined. “Repeat with me, Maja. Everything is perfectly fine.”
“We really have a problem.” Maja bit on her lower lip, actually a bit scared by Patrick’s glare.
“What kind of problem?” Pete asked with a sigh, putting the suitcases on the ground.
“Spirits.” Maja looked at the vampire, tilting her head to the side. “Well, actually we saw only one, but there might be more.” She explained, her tone careful but worried. “You know those little accidents of the past few days? Yeah, well, I set a few EMF detectors and IR cameras and…we have a guest.”
“Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me.” Patrick sighed heavily and looked at Pete.
“And he seems to be very pissed, I think he’s looking for someone.” Maja arched an eyebrow, not sure they were going to like that piece of information.
“We can’t leave.” Pete addressed an apologetic gaze at his mate. “Angry spirits aren’t nice stuff.”
“Hey.” William interrupted the exchange with a little smile. “We can deal with it without mom and dad.” He grinned in Patrick’s direction and saw him roll his eyes. “Go have your vacation, it’s just a spirit.”
“Bill’s right. Besides, we have Saporta.” Tom shrugged as the rest of the group addressed him surprised glances.
“As much as I’m sure you meant that as a reassurance… you never faced spirits.” Patrick shook his head, worried. “And if this one’s really angry, it could be nasty.”
“You mean, nastier than Butcher, Ray Toro, Gerard Way or well, possessed!Bob?” Gabe asked with a raised eyebrow, then shot a little apologetic smile at Bob standing a few feet away, who replied with a little nod.
“Yeah, well, it depends on how old and how pissed this guy is.” Pete glared at the other vampire, then looked at William. “Okay, tell me one thing that repels spirits.”
“Uh, rock salt? Pure iron?” William arched an eyebrow at the surprise on Pete’s face. “We can do this.”
“I hunted spirits before.” Billie Joe stepped next to Maja, shrugging. “It’s no big deal, really.”
“I did too.” Haley raised a hand, gaining a curious glance from Joe.
Patrick moved his gaze from the girl, to Billie Joe, to William, and finally to Pete. “If something…” He took a deep breath, fixing his gaze in Gabe’s perplexed one. “…and I mean anything, goes wrong, you call us, okay?”
“Roger, boss.” William smiled reassuringly at him.
“Go have your vacation.” Sisky added, smiling as well.
“I’ll make sure they don’t throw crazy parties with strippers or something.” Mike assured, grinning from his spot next to Sisky.
“Damn right they’re not.” Cassie looked at her boyfriend and arched an eyebrow. Travis snickered, gaining a glare from Vicky.
“You really sure about this?” Pete looked at them with a concerned look, unsure.
“Go.” William nodded towards the door, grinning.
“Go and have loads and loads of sex.” Gabe added, shrugging and looking at the two of them.
“Oh God, I don’t want an image of that.” Maja whined, shaking her head.
“Let’s go.” Pete glared at the witch and picked up the suitcases. “Be careful.”
“You too.” Mike replied with a smirk.
Patrick hesitated a few seconds more, biting on his lower lip. Then he nodded and smiled at the group, walking out of the door with Pete.

One day later
“It’s weird, you know?” William rolled on his side and looked at Gabe in the dark room. “Not having Spencer and Jon around anymore.”
“It’s been only two weeks.” Gabe smiled at his boyfriend, his fingers playing with William’s hair.
“I know.” William rested his chin on Gabe’s chest and sighed. “I was kinda used to Ryland and Chizz too, but I guess Australia needs hunters too.”
Gabe’s chest shook with silent laughter at those words. “And Tom?”
“What about him?” William closed his eyes, enjoying the sensation of Gabe’s fingers in his hair.
“You two seem to be getting along.” Gabe’s voice was careful, but William didn’t miss the edge of doubt in it.
“We started over.” William opened his eyes and looked up at the other vampire with a little smile. “Tom’s been an important part of my life, if there’s a chance to have him back I’m not gonna be the one who says no.”
“Why did he leave?” Gabe sounded slightly relieved, and William’s smile faded a bit.
“Mikey.” William looked away, resting his head back on Gabe’s chest. “Me and Tom…we used to fool around before I met Mikey.”
“Define ‘fool around’.” Gabe frowned, surprised by that information. “And define ‘before’.”
William sighed and sat up on the bed, biting on his lower lip. “Fool around as in making out and other stuff.”
“You and Tom were…together?” Gabe sat up as well, more confused than angry.
“Not exactly, since he went to parties and came home smelling like random girls with cheap perfume.” William took a deep breath, remembering the night he’d kicked Tom out of his bed. “We just fooled around, I was sixteen, I was curious.”
“So your first time was with him.” It wasn’t a question, and William wished he didn’t have to tell Gabe the truth.
“No.” William looked away again, resting his back against the headboard.
Gabe watched him for a few seconds, then showed a little smile. “Mikey.”
William nodded and looked up, surprised to see Gabe wasn’t upset, just slightly surprised. The vampire leaned forward and placed a chaste kiss on William’s lips. “Tom left ‘cause you and Mikey had a…thing?”
“Kinda.” William nodded slowly. “We began to fight over the stupidest things and we grew apart. He said I was changing and he blamed Mikey for that.” He felt Gabe’s hand on his own and smiled softly. “He was right, but I wasn’t willing to admit that to myself.” He paused for a second and took a deep breath. “That’s why I wanna have a second chance with him.”
“He cares about you.” Gabe smiled, his arm circling William’s waist and pulling the boy closer. “He ran here to warn us when he found out about Butcher.”
“I’m happy to have him back in the house.” William’s smile widened and he tilted his head, resting his cheek against Gabe’s shoulder.
“He’s not gonna try to fool around with you, right?” Gabe asked, only half joking, and the boy laughed against his neck.
“No.” William placed a kiss right under Gabe’s jaw. “But can we not talk about my first sexual experiences?”
Gabe laughed at that, shaking his head. “Okay.”
William was about to say something else, but the alarm clock on the nightstand started to beep and he stretched over to switch it off. “I’m supposed to go and get blood for the stash. Pete forgot to do it before leaving.”
“How thoughtful.” Gabe snorted, but started to stand anyway. “Let’s go.”
“I can do it on my own.” William grinned, reaching for his clothes. “You can help Maja with the spirit thing.”
“She says our friend isn’t around anymore.” Gabe shrugged, frowning a bit. “Probably he heard us and he’s somewhere, plotting how to not get destroyed.”
“Cute.” William put on his boots and watched as Gabe got dressed too.
“So yeah, I’m not really busy right now.”
William grinned and slowly reached his boyfriend, gently pushing him against the wall next to the door. “Don’t worry, as soon as we’re done I’ll make sure to keep you busy.” He whispered on the other vampire’s lips.
Gabe stole a quick kiss, but when William withdrew, he smirked too. “Tease.”
~~
“Maybe we should stay somewhere else.” Mike sat on the bed, his hand reaching Cassie’s belly. “We can come back once this spirit thing is solved.”
“It could take weeks.” Cassie sighed, shaking her head. “There’s just ten days left, all my things are here.”
“I don’t want you to go into labor while there’s a potentially crazy angry spirit around.” Mike looked at the girl in the eye, worried. “I know you can take care of yourself, but…I just don’t wanna take chances.”
“Mike…” Cassie looked back at him with the same determined gaze, then finally her lips curved into a smile. “Okay.”
“You heard, little girl?” Mike leaned towards Cassie’s belly. “Mom said yes, we’re going on vacation.”
“Just make sure we find a place near the hospital.” Cassie laughed softly, then brought her hand to Mike’s. “It could be anytime now.”
“I know.” Mike sat up and looked at the girl, smiling. “You’re gonna make a great mom.”
“I think you’ll make a pretty badass daddy too.” Cassie admitted, pulling Mike closer with a grin. “You survived the whole nine months without freaking out.”
“Well, I kind of did, but Patrick bitchslapped some sense into me.” Mike admitted, scratching the back on his neck. “And I’m glad he did.”
A knock on the door stopped Cassie before she could reply, and Mike said to come in.
“Keltie.” Cassie’s smile widened when she saw her friend, and Mike stood from the bed. “When did you get back?”
“We just got home.” Keltie reached the bed and sat down, while Mike walked to the door.
“I guess you have a few things to talk about.” Mike stood by the door for a few seconds, smiling. “I’ll be downstairs.”
Cassie made eye-contact with him and smiled, nodding slowly. When the door closed, she turned her attention back to Keltie.
“So?” Cassie asked, grinning from ear to ear.
“He’s a dork.” Keltie bit on her lower lip, trying to bite back a grin. “And it’s been the best vacation I’ve ever had in my whole life.”
“So you finally gave in?” Cassie frowned, not sure she was going to like the answer.
“I did.” Keltie nodded her head quickly, but the smile never left her lips. “We’ve been like, together for seven months and he never pushed it, not once. Never even asked why I wanted to wait, he just…respected my choice.” Cassie nodded, relieved to see her friend so happy. “And we were there, he was ten thousands kinds of awesome, the place was beautiful, and…”
“And your first time was romantic and with a boy who gives a damn.” Cassie finished for her, smiling fondly.
“Gosh, I feel like a teenager all over again.” Keltie laughed, shaking her head. “And you should have seen his face when I told him it was my first time.” She smirked at the memory. “He wanted to go out and buy candles and stuff.”
“I think you found the right one.” Cassie gestured her to get closer and hugged her.
“I think that too.” Keltie admitted, smiling against her friend’s neck. “And we sent postcards to all of you from the Honolulu airport. All with the same address.” Cassie laughed at that, and Keltie sat back next to her on the bed. “What about Haley?”
“The full moon was last week, both her and Joe are quite tired, but they’re doing fine.” Cassie nodded, a little smile still lingering on her lips. “And Bob is doing much better too. Doesn’t talk much, but he’s better.”
“I’m happy he decided to stay.” Keltie took a deep breath, biting on her lower lip. “He’s a good guy.”
~~
“The storage of the clinic is on the other side of the park.” William informed as he pulled over with the car. “It’ll be quicker if we walk through it.”
“Okie dokey, boss.” Gabe got out of the passenger seat and waited for William to reach him. “So, how much do we have to take?”
“Well, as much as we can without making the theft too obvious.” William checked his gun to make sure it was ready and started to walk. “You know, it’s weird.”
“What?”
“To be back to this kind of job.” William smiled at Gabe, shrugging. “I like it.”
“Feels like home.” Gabe admitted, and saw the boy address him a surprised and pleased gaze.
They walked in the dark park without hurry, making sure no one was around to notice them and enjoying the comfortable silence between them. William felt a smile tug at his lips, thinking about the words Gabe had said a few minutes before. He’d always feared that Gabe was going to get tired of the manor and the job, but maybe he’d been wrong.
Suddenly the older vampire stopped and looked around, frowning. “You smell that?”
“Yeah.” William stopped as well, his hand going for the gun. “What is it?”
“A werewolf.” Gabe took out his gun as well, narrowing his eyes. “Over there.” He pointed at a bunch of trees on their right, quickly heading that way.
As soon as they reached the bushes nearby the trees, there was a loud growl and they stopped dead in their tracks. Slowly a big wolf came out, baring its teeth at the vampires and bending his ears back against its skull. William noticed it had a few scratches on its back and legs, the blond fur stained with red blood.
Gabe raised his gun towards the creature, but William stopped him with a quick movement, causing the werewolf to growl louder, warning them.
“He’s wounded.” William put his weapon away and took a step towards the animal. “And scared. He must be new.”
“Bill, stay back.” Gabe raised his gun again and William turned to glare at him.
“Don’t scare him even more.” William took another step and lowered himself, looking at the werewolf in the eye. “I know you understand what I say.”
At those words the creature’s ears stood up, and William showed a little smile. “It’s okay, we can help you.”
“Bill, you know that not all of them are good, right?” Gabe tried to take a step towards them, but the werewolf growled in his direction, threatening.
“I know this is gonna sound crazy, but…you’re a werewolf. Which means you can turn back to human.” William asked, not looking away from the werewolf’s eyes. “You want to turn back to human?”
As a reply the wolf stopped growling and took a tentative step towards William, but fell after the first attempt, whining lowly for the wound on his leg. Without hesitation William reached him and stroked the fur between the ears. “Just calm down, okay? We’re taking you somewhere safe.”
“You wanna bring him home?” Gabe asked, more surprised than upset.
“It’s what we do for a living.” William addressed him a smile, turning slightly. “We help people.”
“I tend to forget how everyone ended up there.” Gabe admitted as he put his gun away, taking a step towards William.
The werewolf growled in Gabe’s direction, but William calmed him with a few slow strokes on the back, careful to avoid the scratches. “He’s not gonna hurt you.”
Gabe addressed the creature a wary look as he lowered himself to help William lift the wolf.
~
“A werewolf?” Maja asked as she followed William closely on his way downstairs with the wolf in his arms. “We have a spirit who has a sudden passion for hide and seek and you bring here a werewolf?”
“Not my fault if you lost your spirit, but my werewolf needs help.” William retorted as Gabe reached them.
“Your werewolf?” Maja arched an eyebrow, amused.
“Yeah, well, I’m taking care of him so you can find that damn spirit.” William rolled his eyes, gesturing for someone to open the door of the cell.
“Just for the record, I’m working on it.” Maja stuck her tongue out at William and the vampire laughed, entering the room.
“I’ll go get the first aid kit.” Gabe announced, exiting the cell.
“Shh, it’s okay.” William whispered as he put the werewolf on the bed. “You’re safe here.” He turned to look at Maja with a little frown. “He’s scared, and Gabe almost shot him, which made him even more scared.”
“What if he’s part of some pack or something?” Maja asked as she approached, worried. “I mean, last time we messed with clans it all turned into a big big mess.”
“He’s out of control and he can’t turn back to human, he needs to calm down.” William idly stroked the werewolf’s back, calming him. “He’s young. He probably got bitten not too long ago, so he’s not in a pack.”
Gabe came back in that moment, reaching the bed and kneeling next to the wolf’s head. “You okay, buddy?”
William smiled at that, and addressed a grateful smile at his boyfriend. “I’ll stay here with him.”
“I’ll go back to my spirit, let me know how it goes.” Maja said walking towards the door, throwing a last glance at the werewolf.
“Want me to stay?” Gabe asked, his hand tentatively reaching for the creature’s head. After a couple of seconds the wolf growled softly, and Gabe stood slowly. “I’ll take it as a no.”
William smiled up to him. “I’ll be okay here.”
Gabe leaned down and pressed his lips to William’s, his hand moving a strand of hair behind the boy’s ear. “Be careful.”
William stopped him and pulled him in another kiss, then bit on his lower lip and nodded as Gabe straightened and walked out of the cell.
“It’s just you and me, now.” William smiled to the wolf, who tilted his head to the side.

Later that night
“Where’s Bill?” Ryan asked as he and Brendon walked in the library.
Sisky looked up from his book and shrugged. “I heard Alex and Gabe talk about a werewolf in the basement or something.”
“Cool!” Brendon turned, intentioned to head towards the basement, but Ryan gripped his shirt and stopped him, glaring.
“Let him work.”
Brendon pouted a bit, then reached the couch and sat down.
“What are you working on?” Ryan reached the table and peered over Sisky’s shoulder.
“Runes and common symbols in the Celtic culture” The boy announced under Ryan’s perplexed gaze. “Homework.”
“D’you really need to know all that stuff?” Brendon stood from the couch and frowned. “It’s boring.”
“It’s better than it seems.” Sisky grinned, looking at his friends. “And there’s, like, an exam I have to pass to become a real apprentice. And one to become a wizard.”
“Wow.” Brendon took one of the closed books and opened it, glancing at the pages. “I’m so glad I choose ‘vampire’ on the menu. Too much work to be a wizard.”
Sisky laughed at that, and Ryan shook his head, leaning down to read something on the book. They all looked up when Gabe entered the library.
“Did Bill come out of the basement?”
“Nope.” Brendon turned to look at him, grinning. “Is there a werewolf there?”
“How the hell d’you know that already?” Gabe laughed, walking towards the table.
“It’s a low month, every kind of exciting news fly.” Brendon shrugged, grinning at his Sire. “Besides, if you and William aren’t in your room having crazy sex, there must be something really important goin-- Ouch!” Brendon turned to look at Ryan, who had just slapped him on the head.
“And he’s immortal now.” Gabe reminded Ryan, causing him to roll his eyes.
~
William saw the wolf move out of the corner of his eye and turned just in time to see him slowly turn back to human. He stood from his seat on the floor and reached the bed quickly, going for the first aid kit.
A few seconds later a blond guy, who couldn’t be older than William, was lying on the bed, half covered by the sheets, trying to sit up.
“Hey, slow down, you’re still injured.” William gently stopped the boy, trying to make eye-contact. “What’s your name?”
“Bryce.” It was barely a whisper, and the vampire understood he was still scared.
“I’m William.” William helped Bryce to sit up this time, and the werewolf looked around briefly.
“I-” Bryce closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “I think I killed a man.”

A/N: So. I’m back. Missed me? *grins*
I really hope so, and I really hope you missed the drama, because it’s gonna come pretty soon. There’s not much to say for now, just a couple of things I wanted to tell you. I made a “map” of the Wentz manor and I’ll post it with chapter 2, I guess it might be useful.
Also, I’ll add the new characters in the timeline tomorrow, because right now I’m quite exhausted and I’d mess it up for sure. LOL
So, let me know what you think about this first chapter, and get ready for more drama. *smirks*
