Disclaimer: Gabe and William aren’t mine ç_ç they belong to each other themselves. Actually no one in here belongs to me, and it’s so sad.
I really don’t mean to offend anyone and nothing of what I wrote in this story is to be considered real, it’s all fiction.
Author’s Notes: Pete being a vampire and hunting others vampires is kinda taken from FOB’s video for “Sixteen candles”, all the other stuff is a product of my twisted mind.
Title from Cobra Starship’s “Prostitution is the world’s oldest profession (And I, dear Madame, am a professional)”.
As ever, feel free to report any mistake. Constructive criticism is welcome, feedback makes me happy!

Summary: “In his late years, Gabe Saporta had come to consider himself a peaceful, harmless, even funny vampire. He rarely killed anyone, when he fed he always left his victims where they could be easily found and rescued, and sure thing he never wanted to be part of any clan ever again.” But his plans are ruined when he gets caught by a vampire hunters clan led by Pete Wentz, and things take an interesting path when William Beckett, a young hunter, becomes his jailer. Meanwhile Ryan Ross gets kidnapped by someone they didn’t expect to see again, and the clan has to find him before it’s too late.

Chapter 2
“Brent didn’t want us to know he took Ryan.” Patrick said slowly, eyes fixed on Pete’s back. they had gone back home despite Brendon’s protests, and they had managed to calm him down. “If he thinks we’re looking for him, he’ll do something stupid and we’ll find him easily.”
“That’s about the plan.” Pete nodded, looking out of the window.
“What if he freaks out and kills Ryan?” Brendon asked, closing his eyes at the sound of his own words.
“He won’t kill him.” Pete turned, looking directly at Brendon. “He did all this ‘cause he wants Ryan with him.”
Brendon stood and started to pace in the room, biting on his lip. “I can’t just sit here and wait.”
“There’s nothing else we can do.” Patrick stood and reached the boy, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Try to get some rest.”
Spencer stood and reached his friend, circling Brendon’s shoulders with his arm. “Let’s go, Patrick’s right, you need to rest.”
Brendon let Spencer guide him out without a word, not looking at the others in the room. Jon stood as well and Pete gestured him to wait.
“We need to tell the others, when are Vicky and the guys coming back?”
“A few days, she doesn’t know yet, the nest was pretty big.”
“Okay, get Brendon something strong. Whiskey or something. But keep an eye on him.” Jon nodded, heading outside without a word.
“You sure getting him drunk is gonna help him?” Patrick asked with a skeptical tone as the door closed after Jon.
“It’s the only way he can actually hope to get some sleep.” Pete sighed, turning to look at Patrick. “I’m surprised he hadn’t tried to run off on his own.”
“How d’you know he won’t try tonight?”
“Jon will be there with him, and Bren gets noisier than regular when he’s drunk.” Pete showed a little smile. “The whole building would hear him if he tried to sneak out.”
Patrick chuckled and wandered to the window, looking out. A pair of arms surrounded his waist and Pete placed a kiss on his temple.
“If I lost you, I don’t think I’d be able to deal with it.” Pete whispered in his ear, closing his eyes.
“You’d be.” Patrick smiled, resting his head back on Pete’s shoulder. “Eventually.”
“I love you.” Pete whispered on the skin of Patrick’s neck, his fangs grazing gently at the skin, immediately followed by soft kisses.
“I love you too.”

Two days later
“Still no sign of Brent?” William asked as he sat down in the library.
“Nothing.” Spencer sighed, looking out of the window. It was already sunset, and Pete was going to want good news when he woke up.
“How’s Brendon holdin’ out?” Mike reached William and sat next to him.
“Jon’s with him, but it’s just a matter of time before he cracks and tries to go find Ryan.”
William bit on his lip, a thought coming back to his mind for maybe the tenth time. He thought about telling his friends, but he decided to wait until Pete was there too. He didn’t have to wait long, because the vampire walked in just a few minutes later.
“News?” He asked, his eyes scanning the room.
“Nothing.” Mike shook his head, sighing as Patrick joined them.
“I have an idea.” William looked unsure, and dared a glance at Pete’s eyes. He looked calm enough to risk. “Brent’s been in town for a couple of weeks right?”
“Forget it.” Patrick just said, shaking his head.
“Maybe Saporta knows something.” William insisted, stepping in front of Pete and stopping him from reaching the window. “It’s worth a try.”
Pete seemed to think about it, looking between Patrick and William. “He sure as hell knows something. Get him to talk.”
“Okay.” William nodded and headed for the stairs, thinking how he could get Gabe to talk. Blood. Vampires kind of adored it.
“He’s a bit overzealous about that guy.” Patrick raised an eyebrow, worried.
“He just wants Ryan back.” Mike sighed, standing from the couch.
“And if there’s someone who can make Saporta talk, it’s Bill.” Pete smiled halfheartedly at his own words, looking at the almost completely dark sky outside.

Gabe barely had the time to register William’s scent before the door opened and the boy stepped inside.
“Here’s the deal, you tell me where to find Brent Wilson and his gang and I’ll get you fresh blood.” William focused his gaze directly in Gabe’s curious one.
“It’s good to see you too.” The vampire smirked, leaning against the wall.
“Are you gonna help me or not?” William didn’t move his eyes, determined to get what he wanted. And he wanted Ryan back.
Gabe studied the boy’s face for a few seconds, his eyebrows slightly arched in curiosity. “What did he do?”
“He kidnapped one of us.” William narrowed his eyes, not exactly happy to share information with Gabe. “A close friend.”
Gabe nodded slowly, catching the hurt in William’s eyes at the thought of said friend. Finally he stood and showed a little grin. “Yours.”
“What?” William asked, clearly confused.
“Let me taste your blood and the deal’s on.” Gabe licked his lower lip, then waited, curious to know how far William was willing to go to save his friend.
William’s jaw tightened at those words and Gabe saw the change in his eyes, the betrayal, and the vampire wanted to take back his request.
“Okay.” William nodded slowly, not taking his eyes off Gabe once. “Where’s Brent?”
“I can’t find him, but I know someone who’s been tracking him for a while, still does.” Gabe leaned again against the wall, the smirk gone from his face.
“How do I find this guy?”
“He’s got a cell phone.” Gabe shrugged, his hands playing with the book he was still holding but his eyes focused on William. “Ryland Blackinton, his number is in the phone I had with me when you brought me here.”
“If it turns out true, I’ll be back for your blood.”
“Okie dokey, William.” Gabe had barely the time to reply before the door closed after William.
~
William entered the library and found Brendon sitting with Jon and Spencer, while Pete and Patrick were discussing something on the other side of the room.
“Pete.” William reached them, holding Gabe’s phone. “Ryland Blackinton, Saporta says he’s been following Brent for a while.” At the name Pete’s eyes widened a little, but William didn’t question him.
“Can we trust him?” Patrick asked, not convinced by the plan.
“Honestly?” William bit on his lip, remembering Gabe’s request. “I don’t know. But if it’s not true he won’t get his reward, so maybe it’s worth a try.” Pete looked at William but didn’t say anything, his eyes studying the boy’s face. “It might be the only chance we’ve got to find Ryan.”
“What did you promise him?” Pete’s voice was calm, but William felt a shiver run down his spine at the suspicious look in the vampire’s eyes.
“Fresh blood.” William held back the piece of information about whose blood it was, but it wasn’t exactly lying, right? “He hasn’t fed in days, he’s hungry.”
“He hasn’t fed in a week, but I’m not sure he’s that desperate already.” Pete arched an eyebrow, his eyes never leaving William’s.
“Maybe he wants to help us.” William replied, holding his boss’ gaze and showing a self confidence he really didn’t have in that moment. Pete was right, but Ryan was more important than a stupid deal.
Pete didn’t reply immediately, then without a word he took the phone from William’s hands and looked for the number. Once he dialed it, he gestured the group to shut up.
“Hey, Gabe, what’s up?” A cheerful voice replied from the other end, and Pete recognized it immediately.
“Not Gabe, Pete.” A slow grin stretched the vampire’s lips and Patrick frowned, curious.
“Wait, Pete as in Pete ‘I shag a werewolf’ Wentz?”
“It’s good to hear you too, Ryland.” Pete sounded relieved and William frowned, wondering who that Ryland guy was.
“I assume you finally caught Saporta, uh?”
“He’s alive. For now.” Pete turned, eyeing Brendon on the couch, who was watching him intently. “He says you’ve been tracking Fucker Wilson for a while.”
“You still hate him that much?” Ryland chuckled, and Pete raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, I lost him for a couple of days, but I picked up a trail this morning. Why?”
“He took one of my guys.” Pete simply said, and he could feel the change in Ryland.
“Who?”
“Ryan Ross.” Pete saw Brendon take a deep breath and stand slowly, heading for the window.
“Little Ryan?” Ryland sounded surprised and alarmed. Ryland had helped him save Ryan from his father in Las Vegas, a little more than ten years before. Ryan had been only eleven. “When?”
“Two days ago.” Pete looked back at Patrick and sighed. “Tell me where you picked the trail, me and my guys will be there by tomorrow.”
“He’s heading for Nevada.”
“Shit.”
“I’ll send you the coordinates on this number, we’ll keep in touch.” Pete heard a few rustling noises and a voice in the background. “They’re a bunch of newbies, hopefully it won’t be hard to get Ryan back.”
“Be careful, that little shit can bite.”
“Not this one bastard.” Ryland grinned, referring to himself. “Oh, and Saporta isn’t all that bad.”
“See you later.” Was all Pete said before ending the conversation. He looked up and focused his gaze on Brendon’s back. “Jon, Spencer, call Mike and get ready. Patrick, get the stuff, we’re heading for Nevada.”
“I’m coming with you.” Brendon turned, the look in his eyes half desperate half determined.
“Brendon, you’re not lucid enough to fight, you might --” Pete started, but Brendon went to stand right in front of him, his eyes furious.
“It’s Ryan.” Brendon hissed, and Pete looked at his friend, knowing it was wiser to leave him home. “Either you lock me up in the basement, or you bring me with you.”
Pete sighed, his hands resting on Brendon’s shoulders. “Go get ready.”
Brendon was out of the room in no time, heading upstairs with Patrick, Spencer and Jon.
“What about me? I wanna help too.” William looked expectantly at Pete, eager to join them and kick Brent’s ass.
“I need someone to stay here, Bill. We can’t leave the house unprotected.” Pete replied, watching William open his mouth to reply. “Someone might be waiting for us to lower our defense. You’re probably the only one who can face an assault alone long enough to call for help.”
At those words William frowned, surprised Pete trusted him that much. “You sure?”
“I’m sure.” Pete smiled reassuringly, then his smile turned into a grin. “I mean, I trained you for the last fifteen years for what? Making popcorns?” William let out a soft laugh, and one of Pete’s hands went up to ruffle William’s long hair. “Just put on the lockdown system and don’t get too distracted with Saporta.”
“I won’t.” William grinned, slapping Pete’s hand away from his head and fixing his hair.
“Pussy.” Pete laughed, heading for the door.
“You trained me.” William retorted with a sarcastic smile, causing Pete to laugh again as he reached the doorstep.
“Damn right.” Pete turned to look at him and shook his head, amused. “Be careful.”
“You too.” William nodded and his smile faded slowly. “Bring him back.”
With a nod and a meaningful glance Pete left the room, leaving William alone with his thoughts.

A day later
William knew he had to respect his part of the deal, but every time he thought about it, his chest tightened painfully. He hadn’t expected Gabe to do such a request, and it had hurt for some reason. And William really didn’t want to know why it hurt.
Knowing that sooner or later he had to do it, he pushed the door of the cell open, taking a deep breath. It was better to do it when Pete wasn’t around, anyway.
“You’ve been standing out there for something like ten minutes before coming in.” Gabe didn’t raise his gaze from the book, a little smirk stretching his lips. “Something’s bothering you? Are you scared of me?”
“You’re chained to a wall, I have no reason to be scared.” William simply replied, closing the door with a slow move.
“I wasn’t talking about that kind of scared.” Gabe looked up, meeting William’s eyes, surprised to see dejection and yes, some kind of fear.
“I’m here to pay my debt.” William ignored the vampire’s words, keeping his voice emotionless.
“Okay.” Gabe closed the book and put it on the floor, standing slowly. “Come here.”
William pushed the chains button without warning, and Gabe found himself forced against the wall, his arms unable to move.
“I’m starting to think you enjoy this way too much.” Gabe grinned as William reached him, but the boy didn’t show any sign of amusement. Gabe looked at him and felt his nervousness come out in waves from his body.
“Just do it and let’s end this. I’ve got work to do.” William stopped in front of Gabe and pulled at the collar of his v-shirt, exposing his neck as his eyes closed.
Gabe leaned in, inhaling slowly as William’s emotions became clearer. Gabe hadn’t fed in days, he was starting to get weak, so if he could sense those feelings so well, then it meant they were strong. Too strong.
He placed his lips on William’s neck and felt him tense; the boy was fighting the instinct that told him to run as hell, and all to keep the word given to his prisoner, to his enemy. He was exposing himself to Gabe Saporta, the ruthless killer.
Gabe smiled and kissed his way up to William’s ear, smiling. “Raise your hand” He whispered, then leaned back against the wall, seeing William open his eyes, confused. “C’mon, raise your hand.”
William did as he was told, and Gabe smiled. “You’ve never been bitten?” There was a little pause, and William wasn’t sure if he was supposed to answer. “Of course you have, you’re a hunter.” The boy didn’t reply as Gabe’s eyes turned to a very pale shade of grey, a thin line of light blue circling the irises. “But no one fed on you before, isn’t it?”
William just shook his head, his eyes closing as his hand trembled a bit. He felt Gabe’s lips close around his index finger and his eyes flew open again, unsure and wary. Gabe made eye contact and bit gently on the thumb, careful not to graze the skin, then sucked gently.
It lasted a few seconds, then Gabe smiled and let go, his eyes going back to his deep dark brown, and his fangs returning to a shorter length.
“You…you didn’t…” William brought his hand down, confused and surprised.
“You’re willing to let me feed on you just to keep your word. A word you gave to save your friend. It might be defined moronic, but I find it noble. And I kind of have a thing for noble.” Gabe smiled softly, eyes never leaving William’s. “Your blood is too precious for me to steal it.” He saw something similar to shock in William’s eyes and his smile widened a bit. “If you ever decide to let me feed on you because you want to, not for business, then I’ll be happy to have the honor of being the first one.”
“But…the deal…” William frowned, not sure he’d heard right.
“Your debt is paid off, Bill.” Gabe rested his head against the wall and closed his eyes. “And I’m fairly sure you said you had work to do.”
William felt a smile rise to his lips as his chest felt suddenly lighter. Without thinking about it he leaned in, placing a kiss on Gabe’s cheek. “Thanks.” He whispered to the vampire’s ear before stepping back and going for the switch.
“Let me know how’s your friend.” Gabe still had his eyes closed and a little smile on his lips.
“Sure.” William bit on his lower lip, exiting the cell with a wide smile, keeping all the questions for another time.

“You brought one of Wentz’ gang here?” Tom looked at Ryan, then at Brent again. “Are you fuckin’ nuts? Why didn’t you tell us?”
“He’s not gonna be one of Wentz’ buddies for long.” Brent hissed back, eyes flaring with rage. “He’s gonna be one of us.”
“I told you to go fuck yourself once, what makes you think I won’t do it again?” Ryan locked his gaze with Brent’s angry one, and the change made him shiver.
“’Cause baby, the kind of bond we’ll have will be too strong even for you.” Brent smiled, leaning down and baring his fangs at Ryan.
“Don’t.” Ryan whispered, paling visibly as Brent gestured the others to leave them alone. “Brent, don’t.”
“Or what? You’re gonna call big bad Pete? Or Brendon maybe?” Brent gripped Ryan’s bounded wrists and forced him to stand from the floor, pushing him against the wall. His hands were icy and his grip stronger than Ryan had imagined. “They won’t help you this time.”
As a reply Ryan tried to kick the vampire, who just laughed and pushed him harder against the wall, their faces coming much closer. Brent grinned again, showing his fangs as his eyes turned slowly to an unnatural ice-like color, and Ryan shivered, knowing it meant the vampire was about to feed. On him. Brent was about to turn him.
As the sharp fangs sank in Ryan’s neck the boy closed his eyes, focusing on the only memory he could grasp in the quick blurring swirl of images that invaded his mind. Brendon.
That seemed to make Brent only angrier, and the vampire sank his teeth deeper, intentioned to hurt Ryan as much as he could, with his mind and with his bite. The cry that escaped Ryan’s lips made Brent curl his lips in a smirk.
When Ryan almost lost consciousness, Brent laid him on the floor, using his fangs to cause two deep cuts in his own wrist. He brought his injured arm to Ryan’s lips and let a few drops of blood fall in his open mouth.
“No.” Ryan whispered, trying to turn his head, but Brent gripped his hair and forced him to swallow more blood. Ryan fought the instinct for a few seconds, than gave up, his mouth attacking Brent’s wrists like his life depended on it.
“Just like that, baby, it’s gonna be okay.” Brent smirked, his free hand caressing Ryan’s head as the boy sucked on the wound with all his strength.
~~
Two days later
Pete looked around, sensing a movement not far from where he stood. A faint scent reached him and he started to run in that direction, surprising Patrick and Ryland.
“This way.” Pete yelled, running as fast as he could, getting closer to the young vampire who was trying to escape. It took him a few minutes to reach the fugitive, but when he finally did, he hit him with the handle of his sword, making him fall.
Pete grabbed the boy’s collar, literally lifting him from the floor as Ryland and Patrick reached him.
“Tom?” Pete narrowed his eyes, surprised to recognize one of William’s old friends who had left their group a long time before. “What the hell?”
“Shit shit shit. Shit.” Tom muttered, trying to get free. “I swear, I didn’t know it was Ryan until he brought him at the nest. I swear.”
“Where is he?” Pete asked, his eyes going grey and his fangs showing. “Where?” He yelled, startling the young vampire.
“I…I’ll bring you…just don’t…” Tom shivered at the look of bare rage in Pete’s eyes. “Don’t kill me.”
“We’ll see.” Ryland punched him and took both his wrists, tying them together. Pete put him down and shoved him, angry.
“Walk.” Pete hissed, his hand going to Tom’s head and gripping his short blond hair, yanking back. “And if you lie or pull some trick on us, I’ll do things that’ll make you beg for death.”
Tom nodded, the sheer terror in his eyes telling Pete he wasn’t going to risk.
“How long?”
“T…Ten minutes.”
“I’ll warn the others.” Patrick said, taking out his phone.
